  1. Hi,

I am Salim Ghazi Saeedi, an Iranian composer and guitarist. Various critiques have compared my sound to Univers Zero and King Crimson while Harmonie Magazine #70 has compared my guitar playing with Robert Fripp’s. I have received various notions on my style as being avant-garde classical chamber, Rock In Opposition (RIO) and minimalist art-rock with middle eastern influences. Generally my works have been classified as “progressive rock”. At the following I included a link to Iconophobic press release with press clippings and links to some audio/video samples.

I would be thankful if you consider my release for reviewing in Candy Machine. Please let me know if you need the whole CD or any other complementary information.

Pig Soul is a rock group formed in São Paulo, São Paulo, Brazil in 2009. Some say it is R.I.O. (Rock in Opposition), but why should we use restrict and foreign limitations? Anything goes. From free improvisation to dodecaphonic and spectral nerdness. All in the veins of rock’n’roll of its members, connected to progressive and metal. It’s jazz, it’s salsa, it’s insane. Above all, it’s rock!
